Nice work morning crew!
Off to San Diego for the weekend, so my catalyst meals in the fridge are up for grabs. We’ll see if CF Invictus can hold a candle to PCF.
Do some elite drinking for me at the party!
Casto – I assume they are in the Potomac fridge? If so, I will grab them tonight.
Enjoy the sunshine!!

What are people’s thoughts on Reebok’s new ads aligning itself with CrossFit? Their main US website is now completely CrossFit based (http://www.reebok.com/en-US/).

Lesley, not surprising. CF is not a very saturated retail market yet. To my knowledge they have the most penetration in the market and since they are losing their NFL deal this year to Nike (they made all the retail apparel for the NFL), this is where they are spending their marketing/ad $. I could be wrong, but that’s my thought.
@Lesley-I think it’s a good thing. If it helps growth the sport and it seems (to a newbie) that they have a good, solid relationship with the CrossFit community.
I’m curious to see when the others (i.e. Nike, adidas, UA) jump into it. I used to work in sports, and some companies will enter the market with sponsorship of a premier (or famous/infamous) athlete and try to make their mark. While others won’t bother with new sports and keep marketing/selling products that they traditionally sold.
Exposure is good if positively explains the sport.
Maybe the link to the Reebok page will be a good show of CrossFit’s popularity for the landlord? (Or a link to main CrossFit home page listing of affliates?)

I think its creepy that all the apparel is simulating athletic movement without bodies underneath.
@Niki- I totally agree that this will make it easier to explain to friends and landlords! Obviously this is not a cult is Reebok is onboard.
That or we used our jedi mind tricks on the C-suite. I wouldn’t put that past us.
So, Reebok’s plan to replace their NFL revenue is selling $60 “Double Under Performance Shorts”?
They don’t even have shorts for other movements…do they really expect us to do sumo deadlift high pulls in our double under shorts?
@Ryan
Reebok fixed it this morning, but last night they had these shoes (http://www.reebok.com/products/classics/footwear/freestyle-hi-reignbow/island-blue-white/?pt=footwear) included with their other crossfit gear. I didn’t think they’d help me improve my scores, but they are pretty fly.
@Lesley-I’d like to see some Reebok motivation tees with words, phrases, etc. Like “This is what fit looks like.” or “Yes, this is my real butt.” In the end, it will really matter if the apparel is high-quality and functional (and reasonably priced).
If you’re looking for random entertainment, look no farther. Some personal trainer took six months to make himself overweight and is now trying to get fit again. He’s two months into trying to get back in shape.

Em, they are indeed at Potomac.
In other news, it’s 80 degrees here and I had no shorts. After 10 months at PCF I’m wearing a 34 inch waist. That wouldn’t matter much except that I was wearing a 40 inch waist when I started foundations last February.
Best. Coaches. Ever. That’s my google review.
Casto, CrossFit Invictus is where I started. They are awesome there. If George is coaching, tell him I say hi!
Enjoy Dan Diego.
