    First ten and last ten KTE were full ROM from a hang, the middle thirty were more like knees to armpits with a little push off the box.
    Wall balls to about 9′ because of the ceiling.
    Other exercises as prescribed.

    Ugh. I am so NOT excited. The filthy fifty would be just fine if it weren’t for those damn double unders at the end. They are like kryptonite – it’ll take me an eternity to finish 50 of them. Burpees aren’t all that cool, either.

    As far as I’m concenred, this is a burpee workout. Knees to elbows take a little time as well. I can tell whether I will get a good time or a bad time based on how I do at wallball. If I feel ok for those, I will power through the burpees at a steady pace (not fast, mind you). If I start to crash on the wallball, burpees will be the most miserable experience of my life. Not good times.

    Burpees sucked but not as much as doing box jumps at the end of the WOD. KB Swings were devastating too.

    It was great competing against Drew. He’d come close to catching me and I’d have to keep cycling through the movements to stay ahead. Damn, I love competition!

    Would love to have been there tonight, but I’m on the road.
    So Globo-Gym WOD for me was:

    Deadlift
    5-5-5: 245-305 (DND rep 4,5)-275

    As many rounds in 10 minutes of:
    95# thrusters, 5 reps,
    95# hang powercleans, 7 reps
    95# push jerks

    Total: 3 rounds + 8 push jerks

    Did 4 1/3 rounds last time on 11/25. A little bummed but I blame the piss-poor diet and 4 cups of coffee today.

    Oh, I loved the unsolicited and shitty “keep my chin up” while I deadlift advice that I got from some tool. I was like, “Yeah, that’d be a great way to miss a week or two of work. Thanks but I think I’ll be OK.” And some other dude opined that I was using “too much of your wrists” while hang powercleaning…..What does that mean?!!!

    I need to work on KTE- they took me forever! I even tried to figure out a way to make a substitution with a band (unsuccessfully) and when that didn’t work, just did the regular ones. They’ve gotta be easier once I learn how to kip them…

    wall ball and knees to elbows really killed me. resorted to sets of 3-4 on both those exercises.

    thanks to aaron and jon m for setting the pace. this was a 7-minute improvement from my last filthy fifty (done on my own).

    32:xx – forget the time but I was right behind Charlie.

    All RX’d except for KTE and 30 of the Wall Balls where I dropped to 16#. The height was getting to me on the wall ball throw.

    I didn’t have to sub Double Unders for the first time, but I still need to get better at grouping them together.

    Boy it was filthy. And by that I mean wall balls constantly bouncing off the corner of the window frame and coming straight down (leaving much to be desired in terms of good form), resorting to sets of 5 burpees, doing the first 15 jumping pull-ups nearly deadhang, and sets of 4 on the KTE. At least it was as rx’d (first time, too)… things should only go up from here.

    This workout has things I’m good at and things I’m bad at. I think I balanced them pretty well, and while my burpees were still painfully slow, they moved better than last time when they killed me.

    This is actually a 4 minute improvement over last time I did this. And that time was the first time in 4 years I had done it as RXd (never had a wall ball). So I guess this is a PR. Mostly 5′s on KTE and burpees. 10′s in wallball.

    And I would thank Ian and Jon for pacing, but they both beat me, so screw them.
