Hey all, I am in a Al-only keeper fantasy baseball league that is looking for a new owner. It’s an auction based, contract keeper league. The rules are fairly complicated but it’s designed to try to mirror real baseball, with the risks of bad long-term contracts, and the benefits of signing a young player to a cheap long-term deal. Anyway, your team would start with King Felix and Cano.
Email me at dpkeegan at gmail.com if you’re interested and I can explain more.
Erika – were we not supposed to do 125 DB thrusters each? That may explain why my hamstrings are still arguing with me this morning. The 50 KB swings were plenty. (note to self – Do a Guch and find partners who will do 74 KB swings each next time yesterday’s WOD comes up.)
We have some great paleo meals coming up next week at Catalyst – including beef “ropas viejas” with dirty cauliflower rice, Lebanese stuffed cabbage, Cajun kabobs and lots more.
Pedestrian Hit on Wshington Blvd. & N. Highland Street
PCFers,
on Monday a woman was hit in the crosswalk at the intersection of N. Highland and Washington Blvd. This was right out in front of our gym. She was taken to the hospital with head injuries though I do not know how severe. I did see the car that hit her and the dent on the hood indicated that the driver was probably traveling at least 20-25 mph. Spoke to the police briefly who were nice enough to let me know what had happend and indicated that the pedestrian had done everything right. She was crossing at a designated crosswalk at the proper time. The driver just failed to pay attention.
As the weather gets warmer and we begin to run more, please pay attention. Don’t assume drivers see you. Too many assholes on the road as it is.
If anyone is in the market for a really nice media armoire from Arhaus, email me at lauragibbs@hotmail
It’s really nice and in perfect condition, just not the right size in my place. Email me and will send pic.
i’m looking to buy my first pair of vibram fivefingers or minimalist shoes, and i was wondering if there was a good site or discussion thread that could help me figure out which brand/type would be most appropriate for wods/trail running/spring-summer. if y’all have any specific recommendations that would be great too. i’ve been using brooks running shoes to do wods, but recently my feet (which are flat) have started to hurt, and i’ve read going as barefoot as possible is the way to go for flat feet. any feedback would be much appreciated. gracias!

Christy 0530: you did all 125 thrusters and 150 kb swings by yourself? Your teammates must not have played very nicely with you.
