If you guys have some time, go check out:

These Marines are Crossfitting in a pretty austere gym in a pretty austere environment, but they’ve got it up and running.

Drop a comment on their blog wishing them luck.

    Oh, this is Brian.

  3. Drea PCF

Seriously, may be an “austere” (yes, I had to look it up in the dictionary) environment but that gym is SICK…they have great equipment (did you see the number of KB they have?!)…good for them. OOHRAH!

  4. MikePCF / Boston Mike

Yeah, I’m glad they are continually doing it out there, and they have a huge talent pool to chose from too now that most folks are consolidating there.

Not that anyone cares, but there is 8 days, 12 hours and 36 minutes until Red Sox opening day!

  5. Chris F

    6 Rx (+ 1 clean jerk)

    yesterday’s squats/medball cleans

    +

    today’s wallballs

    = dead

yesterday had my legs feeling like jelly before I even started..awesome

    10 rounds as Rx’d.

I worked out how quickly (and actually efficiency) you can rep through wall balls in my final round as I did it in about 30 seconds. Now I am curious if I could have kept up that throughout the WOD…survey says – doubtful

  7. Eva

    10 rounds – 55# and 12# wall ball

  8. Lisa D

    18 Rounds
sub 1 arm DB clean #30
    1arm kb swing #30 and #25

my grip was gone on this one!

  9. Emma

    10 rounds

Subbed dead hang pull-ups for clean and jerks – surprised that I could do them all without assistance.

    Used 16# ball.

And left my red camera there. Please put it up if you see it!

  10. Liz K

    8 rounds – 65lbs and 16lbs

  11. Zack

8 rounds – 85lbs and 16lbs. Finally starting to get the form on wallballs. It makes it so much easier when you’re using your legs/hips to help propel the ball and going into the squat without hesitating after catching it. First, had to admit I wasn’t gonna nail it at 20lbs and scale down to get it right.

  12. Jamie

    10 rounds, 115#

I am having trouble walking today thanks to yesterday and today.

This looks good…can’t wait to do it tonight.

Do you have any good beach WODs you could post? We are heading to Belize for 10 days and might want to do something besides lay around and drink rum in the sun…

  15. Dave C

    6 rounds as rx’d

It took me through the first and second rounds to get in the groove with the wall balls. And as usual, it was the clean part of the clean and jerk that was difficult. :(

  16. Keanne

    7 rounds Rx (+2 C/J)

  17. Dave C

While I hate to stroke Jen’s ego, I have really enjoyed the programming the last couple of weeks.

  18. Laura G

    7 rounds + 3 cleans + 5 wallballs (65#, 16#)

  19. Brad G

Here’s an interesting little blurb providing genetic evidence that the body truly works to convert cars to fat:
    http://www.reuters.com/article/email/idUSTRE52I7PW20090320

I find it equally interesting that as soon as a gene is ‘discovered’, many scientist immediately state they want to make a drug to inhibit/enhance/alter it’s function.

  20. Erin B

Elisse (and Brandon) you suck! But have fun :)

Boston Mike- It’s only spring training but I though last night game was great!

While all the media was obsessing over the “red meat is bad study,” which didn’t really prove red meat is bad, tucked in CNN health was this article about triglycerides:

    http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/03/24/hm.cholesterol.heart/index.html.

Having high triglycerides is unhealthy, but what I love the most about this article is that it totally fails to mention that one of the major causes of high triglycerides is overconsumption of carbohydrates, especially refined sugar and white rice. Sigh.

Keanne – Forgive me for responding to your post so publicly, but your blog today is not the type of thing that should go unnoticed.

Thank you for sharing – and for helping us all to remember why what we do in this moment is the only moment that matters.

    Keanne,
I’m glad you were there this morning. You always keep me on my toes. Seeing other strong, motivated women makes me press forward when I don’t feel like it. I’m sorry for the loss of your friend, I’ve felt that pain before.
You are strong, smart and one hell of a Crossfitter!

anyone trying to slim down for the beach? Ellise & Brandon?

I don’t claim to be a nutrition expert but this seems like a crock of S.

7 rounds 115 lb c/j and 16 lb wb — there were no 20lb’rs left.

  37. Erika - PCF

10 rounds, as rx’d. Pissed that I was 5 wallballs away from 11 rounds. Let this be a lesson to me….had I taken one less break, I would have been at 11. And yes, Pat, I’m still annoyed about it and I had to comment on it :)

I’m dreading the soreness that my poor legs are going to feel after yesterday’s tabata shitshow plus this. Jen, you’re on my bad list….

  38. Alli

    9 rounds
subbed 95# power cleans / 4 rnds 16# WB, then 12# (both in deference to gimp shoulders)

LOVE this wod, but missed the jerk. Good weight for me on the cleans, as I had a few fails in there to repeat. My WB form has improved and I stayed high on the wall consistantly.(Sorry about the ceiling, Brian…)

  39. Andre

    115# clean & jerks
    20# wallballs

    7 rounds

  40. Ashley

    7.5 65#/16#

    5 rounds

  44. Rick

    10 rounds rx’d

  45. Susan

5 rounds? Even with Brian’s advice, I still lost count around round 3.

  47. Chris M

7.5 rounds with 115lbs for the power clean and 20 lbs for the wall ball…
