Made a lot of progress on the gym today, including finding another CII (thanks Rick H.!!) to bring our total to four. We’ve got two of the three GHDs assembled and most of the gym cleared out of trash (still a lot, but we’ll get it out tomorrow). We should also have the barbell racks built tomorrow for our THIRTEEN York Barbells (they’re awesome!). We also got the squat racks assembled.
Really, the big thing is getting the pullup bars installed. We’ve got the plan hashed out so it’s ordering everything tomorrow and hopefully assembling it by Friday, which would allow us to start some WODs as early as next week. We’ll let you know, but get excited because we’re almost there!

I did a heavy day yesterday. It wasn’t perfect but not bad.
My previous best was 3×5 at 285. I’ve also done 2×3 for 300lbs. If I was smart I would have 3×5 at 290, but I got greedy.
5x 295 (failed on 5th), 295 (got it), 295 (failed on 5th).
Shoulder press was weak as usual. Went for reps of 5 at 125lbs. It ended up being combined strict and push-press 4 and 1, 3 and 2, 2 and 3.
But the important part is my new lifting shoes. Cleans felt awsome. I was just fooling around but 200lbs went up easy. Not a PR, but smoothness and effort felt great!
It will be better with bumpers in the new gym!

Sure thing. Thanks for almost making me puke. The run home, errr I should say jog…err walk…err limp holding sides…cry, took longer then the run there. Good times!!

Back squat today: 5×5 at 165#. For some reason my legs were seriously tired today and I just didn’t feel like I could get much heavier. Could have been my run yesterday, since I haven’t been running much distance lately (and need to get a couple runs in before the Army 10 miler).
Also practiced my dead hang pullups, about 6 sets of 3, and finished off with 5×5 bench press at 90#. Could have gone heavier, but I didn’t have a spotter so I played it safe.

Pushed a 200lb women on a 200lb stretcher to four different tests in the hospital.
Ran 6 or maybe it was 8 200meter sprints.
Ran away from one homeless man who called me sweetie!
Picked up one 100lb old women off the floor, lost my form and almost fell do to urine on floor.
Did much better on the second set.
Got hit in the mouth by a flying matchbox car and got a bloody lip! Ouch! This was done 12 hours for time!
3-2-1 go!

Jen,
Constantly varied! Broad times and modal domains! These are the real world situation we actually train for. I’m jealous … well, not really.
