Yeah, I mean how often do we see girls with dark pants and white tops at the gym?
Way to claim credit Kari. Classy.

DF Pete, I hear the DL calling you, listen, did you hear that………
Pete in Brazil, what can we say except, wish you were here….
Vaughn, the ghosts of double under present and future left a message last night, something about getting your a%^ to the box tonight, I dont know what that is about…….
December 10th, 2009 on 6:19 am
ohhh, and Kassi, can you help me with the restraining order served by the members of CFLV, hahahahah
December 10th, 2009 on 7:14 am
Can we do DL on a day other than my rest day? 2 weeks in a row now. I’m going to stop taking rest days soon
December 10th, 2009 on 8:30 am
Much better pic Mike….
We are still in need of tables (large and small) for Friday. Seriously, any normal height table (round, square, rectangular) for food or games would be EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!!! Please let me know via the blog or at sdichiara at gmail.

Jason, stop crying.
December 10th, 2009 on 8:42 am
Definitely agree w/ you, Jason. I some DL love too. Thought of making it 4 days straight and skipping rest day. But after waking up to hurtin’ abs this morning, I’m thinking no.
December 10th, 2009 on 8:52 am
Sharon,
I have three 3×5′ tables if you want to borrow them. I’ll be at the box tomorrow morning for the 9:30 WOD & can bring them in. Let me know if you want them. Sorry I never met you, Vegas Mike. I’m also sorry I’ll miss your farewell! One day, I’ll get to a happy hour…

Kristine,
That would be fantastic! Thank you so much!
December 10th, 2009 on 9:21 am
Sharon, I am pretty sure Erika and I’s tables are already at the box. Silver round table and rectangle black table. Obviously you are welcome to use them.
December 10th, 2009 on 9:31 am
Between Kristine, Rick and the Mo-Jo/Schick clan, we now have enough tables. Thanks guys!

Reminder: weekly grass-fed meat orders due by noon today. If you’re not receiving the email list on Wednesdays, shoot me a note at alison@humblegourmand.com
Also, one of our farmers is selling gorgeous Christmas trees this weekend. They’re only $30 for 5-6′ trees, and wonderfully pine/citrus-y (I smelled them last week)! Visit James of J-Wen Farm at the Courthouse market on Saturday or the Columbia Pike market on Sunday.

Ken V.,
Thank you. Rich S is just upset that he is in KC with Dorothy and Toto crying about how “cold” it is.
My abs are sore today too, so I won’t be going to the WOD but I might skip a rest day here and there if DL keep coming up on thursdays.
Rich S, I still love you blue
December 10th, 2009 on 10:56 am
Spinner,
Better than 50-50 chance Rich in Missouri, not Kansas. Regardless, they’re cold fly-over states.
December 10th, 2009 on 11:01 am
A ring was found at the box this AM. Let me know if you’re missing one.
December 10th, 2009 on 11:09 am
Aaron,
haha Well played sir. But I used the Dorothy and Toto reference more for the effect of him being out in the middle of nowhere with little flying monkeys rather than exact location. If you arent somewhere from the Rockies west or on the East coast then you might as well be in Never Neverland.
December 10th, 2009 on 11:28 am
Just a note, I will be hosting my annual Christmas party this Saturday evening. Please feel free to stop in. I am off of Washington Boulevard at the Courthouse Rd/S 2nd St/Fort Myer exit.
Email me at chris.j.wisniewski at gmail for details, or find me on faceboook.

Spider monkey’s been taking a beating lately…
December 10th, 2009 on 11:47 am

My stomach hurts just thinking about the Games.

Vegas Mike, thanks for the Christmas present, Elvis is at my Christmas party right now for work.
All of the rest of you are jealous.

For Jon M:
Everyone who qualified for the 2009 Games automatically is qualified for their Regionals (bypassing the need to perform at the Sectionals).
December 10th, 2009 on 1:17 pm
Aaron/Ryan,
I’m confused. I saw the following on the site. Am I looking at the wrong place?
WV / VA / DC Sectional: March 27 – 28
Richard J Ernst Community Cultural Center at Northern Virginia Community College
8333 Little River Turnpike; Annandale, VA 22003
West Virginia, Virginia, DC
Regional Seeds: 20
December 10th, 2009 on 1:28 pm
there were originally two different sectionals listed depending on if you were looking at the 2010 games site or clicked on the actual link for the sectional.
now both are listing:
WV / VA / DC Sectional: March 27 – 28
Richard J Ernst Community Cultural Center at Northern Virginia Community College
8333 Little River Turnpike; Annandale, VA 22003
West Virginia, Virginia, DC
Regional Seeds: 20 men, 20 women

December 10th, 2009 on 2:02 pm
Yup, they just changed it. Probably doesn’t make too much difference other than I hate that we are a late one because I get all excited and it’s hard to focus on work when there are other sectionals going on.
Give us a little more time to prepare, which works for me at least. Really technical people may point out the difficulty of peaking twice in one month.
