This weekend’s another big weekend at Potomac Crossfit: Jen Conlin’s Kettlebell Seminar on 04 Oct, 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm. Be sure to get in there if at all possible - you will become a ninja of the Kettlebell!
In honor of “Jeremy”

95 pound Overhead squats
Burpees
Post time to comments.
What do we at Potomac Crossfit want from our athletes? Read Characteristics of a World Class Trainee, by Andrew Thompson. We will make you better, healthier, stronger, but you have to make the commitment to show up and put out. Leave your ego at the door, show up and train like your life depended on it - because it does.

Mike R. - great work yourself, you were cranking on those burpees!

I really need to get better at burpees.
7:03 as RXd, and I finished last … Great job to the 7pm class.
SO I HAVE A CHALLENGE!!!!!!!
I want to swipe the burpee challenge idea from a bunch of the other affiliates. Here’s the deal. Day one, you do one burpee, day 2 is 2 burpees all the way to a hundred. You miss a day you make it up the following day. By the end it’s a hundred burpees.
Everyone hates them, everyone should get better at them. I know I need the practice and misery loves company. We’ll start Monday and I’ll drum up recruits over the next few days.
Who’s with me????

Foundations WOD:
21-15-9
45# Front Squat
45# Push Press
3:23
then…
PCF WOD as Rx’d
5:48
Count me in for the Burpee Challenge. I’ve this challenge posted at other affiliates as well. It sounds like a good idea, but on about Day 75 I’m sure I’ll have a change of heart. On Day 100 we should try to get all the challengers together and do the 100 for time.

Question / comment.
What do ya’ll think of starting another page off the homepage that captures the various links to articles and books that are being recomended? It would make it much easier to go back and find the reference material that is cited within the WOD postings.

If you can come up with a simple way for me to do it, great. Otherwise, delicious.com?

21-15-9. I was all over the place today. Changed weight, then changed exercises all together.
Started off with 95lbs, then moved to 85, then 65lbs, all within the first 21 reps. Switched to 135lb front squat during the 15 & 9 because I felt a pinch in my left palm.
20:33.. I think. Lots of room for improvement.
I’m down for the burpee challenge too.

I was thinking along the lines of something much simpler- another link from the homepage - perhaps below vid & pic and above pricing that has a list of these articles and books. delicous could also work but I think the commentary and context that ya’ll provide is very important and may be diluted through delicous.

21-15-9 OHS (65#) and Burpees. I hate burpees. So much, in fact, that I blocked my time out of my head. I do know that I finished right around the same time as Siddarth, so I guess that makes it 9:30 ish. Props to him for being more together than me and remembering the time.
In for the burpee challenge, though I am quite sure I will regret that later. I will go one step farther than Ian and say that after we get everyone together for the 100th burpee day, we should have a PCF happy hour outing. I’ll organize. Who is with me??

I’m in on burpee challenge…I’ll start with y’all on Monday from my hotel room in St. Louis. And I’m really in for a post-century happy hour when we hit 100.
See y’all in a week or so!
