What is a respectable time for this wod?
February 5th, 2010 on 8:20 pm
So tomorrow will be nice and messy. If you could bring a second pair of shoes, that will make post-wod clean up much faster.
Which leads me to point two. Special snow wods == special snow group cleanup. If
you show up, you will have the added joy of helping with post wod cleanup as the cleanup crew is off.
Following the cleanup, we will have chalk-free dodgeball. All are welome. We will probably play for a couple hours.

Rick- about a minute.
February 5th, 2010 on 8:21 pm
Thought you would say finishing.
February 5th, 2010 on 8:39 pm
If you finish, I’ll respect you.
February 5th, 2010 on 8:49 pm
Rick B, you are killing me…. you need to add a “so to speak”…
February 5th, 2010 on 9:49 pm
Tim M,
Responding to your question from yesterday: I eat almost exclusively pastured meat & eggs and organic produce & nuts. I spend a little under $200 a week on groceries. I eat about 190 grams of protein per day.
You may require a different amount of protein and I’m sure that you could spend less than me by choosing less expensive cuts of meat. If you were to go the non-organic, non-pastured Costco route, I’m sure you could do it for half the cost.
I strongly recommend going to organic/pastured route and buying as much as you can from The Humble Gourmand. Her prices are better than Whole Foods and her quality crushes Whole Foods. The elk sirloins, for instance, are very affordable and phenomenally tasty.
February 5th, 2010 on 9:50 pm
Oh, and eating elk increases your clean by 10%. Period. 15% if you kill it yourself.
February 5th, 2010 on 10:09 pm
Chris, whatever I’m paying you to say such things isn’t enough.
February 5th, 2010 on 10:11 pm
cool, thanks for the data point. coincidentally i purchased some elk from alison for the first time this weekend and i am now looking forward to stupid olympic weightlifting gains
February 5th, 2010 on 10:13 pm
Yes Rick B, but will you respect Rick S in the morning?
February 6th, 2010 on 9:21 am
Allison – Washington Sports Club advertisement on your web page? I cried a little when I saw that.
February 6th, 2010 on 10:00 am
Alison- I also dig the Tyson ad on the website. I’m pretty sure now that in order to make sandwiches people will love I need to buy Tyson chicken. TIm, take that into account before plunging into the organic world.

For the record – that calendar photo of Vaughn and the Stars-n-Bars is INSANE. Looks like levitation to me!
February 6th, 2010 on 10:30 am
Gym is open.
February 6th, 2010 on 10:54 am
We are hoppin’.
Come hang out even if you don’t want to wod.
February 6th, 2010 on 12:56 pm
First of all, thank you Siddharth for opening up the box. Great time today!
Angie: 26:56
This was a beast. I started out with green band pullups, then somewhere around 60 or 70 added a thin red band. Also did knee push ups.
February 6th, 2010 on 12:57 pm
Thanks again for opening up the gym Siddharth…great working out with Angie today
17:18 as rx;d
February 6th, 2010 on 1:11 pm
Wondering what the scaling is for shoveling this much snow. Also wondering if I’d look particularly nuts doing a 21, 15, 9 shovel, goblet squat, burpee in the snow WOD…

That’s the problem with ad networks — no control. When it’s San Pellegrino water for 2 months, fine. When it’s suddenly Tyson and Post-Its… eh.
February 6th, 2010 on 2:02 pm
Thanks Siddharth for opening today. It was awesome, well except for the pain from Angie.
24:xx rx’d but had to cut my pull-ups after 7 mins at 68. Didn’t want to be trying to finish the WOD in the 30:xx’s.
February 6th, 2010 on 2:11 pm
Thanks Siddarth.. 80 pull ups.. rxd the rest.. 21:55
February 6th, 2010 on 2:28 pm
10K run, somewhere between 47 and 52 minutes, the timer was off on the race and I didn’t bring a watch. I hated this run. Hated.
February 6th, 2010 on 2:32 pm
Siddharth is the man. Thanks for opening the box, though after the WOD I almost wished we had been closed for the day. Thanks Rick S for helping on the second WOD–getting my car free from the snow a block from PCF. Not sure which WOD was worse.
February 6th, 2010 on 2:41 pm
20:59 Rx’d (although many of my pullups were questionable)
Thanks again Siddarth for opening the box!
February 6th, 2010 on 4:46 pm
Some people have been asking for me to post my address again for the Super Bowl party. We’re starting around 5 pm and the address is 2421 N. Kensington St, Arlington. 22207. I’m three houses North of Lee Hwy on Kensington Street. House is one the East (right if coming from Lee Hwy.)
February 6th, 2010 on 5:05 pm
That should read ‘on’ the East not ‘one’.
February 6th, 2010 on 5:12 pm
AlisonPCF, call me when you get a chance, something interesting has come up and wanted you to get a crack at it. Vaugh or any of the women who rejected me will have my number hahahah

February 6th, 2010 on 5:55 pm
22:55. Only 50 pullups but rx’d for the rest. Good times today with the wod and dodgeball. Thanks again, Siddharth.

PRICELESS
February 6th, 2010 on 6:55 pm
22:22 RX’d plus a three hour dodgeball finisher.
February 6th, 2010 on 7:00 pm
Dodgeball and beer was the perfect way to spend this snowy afternoon. It was great hanging out with everyone!
February 6th, 2010 on 7:04 pm
To everyone who commented on, laughed at, mocked, or ridiculed me, I demand a public apology. When Guch chose me to wear this morning it was a proud moment for me. I did not appreciate Guch being so openly mocked at the gym this afternoon.
–
50 pull ups, rest normal
24 or 26 minutes, I don’t remember time, can only recall the pain.
Dodgeball finisher
February 6th, 2010 on 7:17 pm

February 7th, 2010 on 5:14 pm
22:36, RX, very strict on form, this was my third WOD of the day (two prior WODs of (1) shovel snow off of rooftop deck for time, and (2) shovel snow out from front of garage for time. 5K post angie, the time was so slow that I will not post it. Silent assassin . . . that is a metric butt-ton of protein. Geez.
February 8th, 2010 on 9:40 am
17:44 rx. Need to work on push-ups as shoulder gets better.
