Brian,
Great article links you posted yesterday. Can I make a suggestion? PCF has an “articles” tab at the top of the website. Can you post your links there? You post some awesome stuff, but there are times when I don’t have time to read them, or surely a time or two when I miss the post. It would be great to have one resource to go to right here on PCF. Thanks.
December 4th, 2009 on 10:41 pm
That would help a lot – good suggestion, Joe! I read through them all, too.
December 5th, 2009 on 10:56 am
If anyone reads this before going to the box at noon, can you let Erika know that I can’t make it to the noon time? Some work stuff has arisen and I have to do it. I’m sorry for the late notice! Good luck to everyone today and congrats to those who have finished!
December 5th, 2009 on 11:00 am
Good WOD – well-organized chaos – nice job coaches and volunteers. Thanks for the help and the encouragement. I finished in 30:15…scaled deadlifts to 95#, 1 pood KB swings, 35# (bar only) OHSs, pullups w/ blue band and 20# squat cleans. Those are my nemesis. Took forever.
Good workout. Good cause. Thank you all and heartfelt thoughts to those at Ft. Hood and their families.
December 5th, 2009 on 11:03 am
Thanks to Erika For setting up today and for all the support especially Allison helping me finish

Thanks PCF for putting this one on for Ft Hood and all the motivation. Lots of fun!
December 5th, 2009 on 12:56 pm
Fun workout, sad circumstance. Thanks Erika and everyone else for putting on a good event.

24:10 Rx’d. Pretty painful.
December 5th, 2009 on 1:33 pm
26:09 – everything prescribed except those C2B pull ups. Thank you everyone for the help and push today!
Well run event and great environment! Two thumbs up!!
December 5th, 2009 on 1:55 pm
The workout:
30:06, rx’d. That was embarrassing. I completely hit the wall at the end, because I was nowhere near as prepared as I should have been when I started the WoD. I don’t like excuses, so I’ll just say that I’ll make adjustments to ensure that never happens again.
The event:
That was an exceptionally well-run event. Much gratitude to the organizers and those who stuck around to assist and cheer on the athletes. I wish the circumstances surrounding the event weren’t so tragic, but hopefully we were able to raise a good amount of money for a great cause.
December 5th, 2009 on 2:12 pm
22:29. Significant scaling
December 5th, 2009 on 2:25 pm
30:30. Today was rough, and awesome. (Shirtless crew- you did us all proud!)
Had it not been for the support, encouragement, and shout outs, I would have probably bailed on that second to last run. The heart that exists at PCF is powerful- it pushes you through the aches and pains (and snow), and it makes you do what you think you can’t do. I’m grateful to be a part of it.
December 5th, 2009 on 2:30 pm
29:33
scaled to:
185# DLs
40# Kb swings

35# Db’s for cleans
December 5th, 2009 on 2:32 pm
25:11

Big thanks to Erika for setting up an awesome event, and to Vaughn and all the volunteers who helped shed weight, move bars, etc.
December 5th, 2009 on 2:42 pm
Thanks to all the PCF coaches for today’s WOD, especially Erika for being the lead pulling it all together. What a fun, well run event for a great cause. I love this community we have at the box! Great stuff.
29:42 almost Rx’d…so close…I need to work on OHS. They’ll have to be my January goats since December is already lined up.
December 5th, 2009 on 3:26 pm
Great event Erika. Very well run. Thanks for all the encouragement.
December 5th, 2009 on 3:40 pm
29:18 as RX’d
Awesome event. Awfully hard WoD.
Erika and the rest of the coaches: Well done. The organized chaos was awesome.
December 5th, 2009 on 4:02 pm
awesome job today by ALL competitors on a god-awful awesome WOD.
Good work to the fire breathers who finished under 25 minutes and to the 1030 shirtless crew
Erika and the rest of the coaches: great job on organizing the event and having a good flow with the controlled chaos
December 5th, 2009 on 4:05 pm
25:48 as Rx’d
You’ve defeated me this time, Gabe. You have proven to be a formidable opponent. I look forward to our future battles. Impressive performance today!
Erika & PCF: Thanks for another kick-ass event for a great cause! Well executed, as usual.
Rick P, Rich S: You guys are animals!
December 5th, 2009 on 4:09 pm
BTW, I got a deep tissue massage from Jessica at the Teal Center after today’s WOD. It was fantastic. I’m not sure which was more of a beat down: the WOD or the brutal deep tissue.
December 5th, 2009 on 4:32 pm
Also, I want to thank the PCF Coaches for tolerating my tourette’s syndrome during my OHS
December 5th, 2009 on 5:07 pm
29:54 – 225 DL, OHS the bar, regular pullups, 40lb squat cleans – last run was brutal. I wanted to die. Thanks to everyone who helped make this an awesome event!
December 5th, 2009 on 5:28 pm
29:59 – so scaled correctly to finish in 30 min. I will leave it at that, cause I don’t remember the numbers.
I managed to do 20 slow and steady except for pull-ups and db squat cleans where I had to break at the 5s
Thanks to everyone for coming out and to the coaches/ volunteers. It was very well organized! The snow added to the fun!
Nice work 10:30 crew. You continue to make us all proud. Sorry I wont be able to catch up with you guys later.
December 5th, 2009 on 5:58 pm
31:36? something like that. Erika, thanks for organizing. Great job to everyone today.
December 5th, 2009 on 6:44 pm
31:06 boots and utes, rx’d everthing but only did 18 OHS.
The (wet) uniform pants made my life SUCK during this.
December 5th, 2009 on 7:00 pm
35:57, I think, with some scaling: 65# OHS, regular pullups (not C2B), 25# DB cleans. Started with 30# and nearly keeled over.
Huge thanks to the volunteers & support crews that we had on hand today. It was a great turnout, and we should all be proud… If you haven’t already, please remember to donate here: https://www.rapidreghost.com/cfhf/FundraiserPage.php?frID=37
December 5th, 2009 on 7:03 pm
The pictures are ready from today’s fundraiser! You can find them under the photo section. I loaded the best 250 out of 800 taken. Great job everyone.
I think my time was 31:25 or something.
December 5th, 2009 on 8:03 pm
Great pics!
December 5th, 2009 on 8:55 pm
Thanks to everyone who came out to WOD and support today. If you haven’t donated for the cause, there is still time.
Erika did an awesome job organizing and keeping the trains running on time – thank you to all the volunteers who were there to collect money, set up, etc.
The WOD. I scaled fairly seriously due to not wanting to undo all the progress I’ve made in the last month or so. 185# Deadlifts, 1.5 Pood KB Swing, 95# OHS, 40# Squat Cleans. In hindsight, going heavier on the DL and maybe 10# heavier on the OHS would not have been too bad . . . but the 40# squat cleans were absolutely atrocious. I could not run after that – I was leaning and falling – and then Emilee blew by me like I was in reverse and that finally got me going. Things started going down hill with the burpees . . . wet hands for the pullups = not good. No wonder everyone was grabbing chalk. Thanks to everyone for all the encouragement.
December 5th, 2009 on 9:28 pm
28:42 RX’d.
Outstanding event today! Really well organized and great motivation, cheering, and assistance from everyone. My sincere apologies to Vegas Mike for not following his direct orders to take off my shirt. I have no excuse.
December 5th, 2009 on 10:14 pm
30 minutes plus some seconds or 10 seconds faster than Scott Q. Albeit really scaled as those, like Scott Q, who did this Rx’d are champs.
Scaling: 225 dl, 95 ohs – which took 5 minutes, 1.5 pood, 35# dbsc, banded pull ups
Great job organizing the chaos Erika.
December 5th, 2009 on 11:21 pm
Guys – thanks for coming out today to support a great cause. You all did me (us) proud by showing up despite less than stellar conditions to rock this WOD and donate some money to help the Ft Hood victims. Reason 9,507 why PCF rocks. I’ll let you know how much we raised as soon as I finish the final count, but I can say we definitely surpassed my goal. I’m proud of all the performances today and thank you all for your support. BIG thanks to my volunteers and fellow coaches for the help and for keeping the trains running on time.
As for me, I did the WOD in the 1245 heat. 32:3X, as rx’d. Man, my back is killing me. I gotta say, the snow that turned to slush added a little something extra special, and that is what I am blaming for my slow runs
Good time today, guys. Thanks for everything.
December 6th, 2009 on 4:59 pm
30:30 everything RXd except did regular pull-ups because I didn’t want to lose Met Con by doing CTB. I need to work on those and I couldn’t find the 35# DBs so I used 30#. Awesome WOD!! Would LOVE to do that one again, especially in the snow. :O)
Thanks Erika for putting on a great event!! You did awesome!!
December 7th, 2009 on 10:51 am
28:38 or something…great event, thanks.
December 7th, 2009 on 10:51 am
Oh, and great pics Nicole, thanks!
December 7th, 2009 on 2:44 pm
33ish I think and I scaled due to lack of equipment, but was very slow running in boots, so it evened out.
