    This was my first Saturday WOD. I usually take the weekends off, but I’m getting more serious about a 3 on 1 off routine. It was awesome to see everyone fresh and ready to go this morning. It’s a big difference from weekday evenings.

    I was scared of this WOD. More scared of the Burpees though. I scaled the weight because I wanted to try to go fast on the burpees, but now I wish I’d have gone RX’d even if it meant going slower.

    Great job today guys!!

    HM – I was totally there. Never said I was coming to the 9:00am! I was going to take my roommate to the free WOD and then do ours. I ended up doing the free WOD

    10 KB swings (30 lbs I think?)
    10 sit-ups
    10 squats
    10 front squats (45 lbs)
    10 burpees

    5.5 rounds in 15 minutes

    Emma’s and Sharon’s WOD

    5 rounds for time:

    5 ring dips (thin tan band assistance)
    10 pull-ups (7 unassisted kips and then thin tan band)
    15 cleans (55 lbs)

    Soooooo, you could have timed me on this with a sundial. I don’t remember my time. 11 something? 12 something? I was last, regardless of the time.

    I suck at overhead pressing, so this will be a serious focus of mine for the next several months. It’s unacceptable that I do 50 reps of 75lb push-press in a minute when I do Fight Gone Bad but I can’t do 25 reps of 155lb push jerk in under 10 minutes with this workout. Lame!

    Great job to everyone else. This is a great example of where being stronger is the key to your fast time. You can have the best metcon in the world and get CRUSHED by the weight if you’re not strong enough.

    But I’m sticking to my guns, ready to come in last place every day if it means I’m improving on my weaknesses. This is the 3rd time in a week I have done 155lb clean/clean and jerk/jerks and I’m sticking to it!

    Emma, you always go to the early one and stay for the free one! Since when did you start switching it around? I’m too tired and hungover tonight to go anywhere to watch football. Plus, I’m super nerd and have work to do so I’m currently doing it on a Saturday night in front of the TV.
    Regarding tomorrw, I don’t know what time I will be going to PCF b/c I don’t know what the WOD is yet. Obviously you know why I sometimes don’t go b/c you always sell me out. Also, I probably won’t be going anywhere to watch the games, again b/c I have to do work.
    And if I had a friendster profile, then I’d totally friend request you but my employers advise against it.
    REMINDER/REQUEST: Brian and Siddharth, can we get a pic of Sean up on the PCF site tomorrow? I’m sure that it would really make his bday.

    Yeah, they advise against friendster and myspace which is just another way of saying don’t do it and in the orientation manual, there is a lot of info on “maintaining the integrity of the firm.” Also, I don’t really like the voyeauristic aspect of friendster and myspace.

    something like 10:30. Man, I suck at burpees almost as much as I suck at double unders….but not quite. And 105# is HEAVY. Big thanks to Tess for standing over me and encouraging me to get moving every time I stopped. HUGE help.
