    I’m starting up my next Olympic Lifting Foundations class at 7PM tomorrow. We are meeting M/W for 4 weeks.

    We are covering the basics of the snatch, clean, and split jerk.

    Metcon: 3:55 (Rx’d with 135 lb). Didn’t break any movement…but Rx’d may not be legit. Push Jerks were shabby…I was almomst push pressing and hardly bending my knees. Maybe trying to go too quick…either way, form was not that good)

    Pretty sure the 3 rep BS is a PR – felt decent, though I had doubts about my squat depth. So I had Tes come over and check it out – it’s just my tree trunk thighs bouncing against my calves at that weight.

    You would think I would learn that after pushing hard on squats that my legs would be less than ideal for the PJs (it’s amazing how much leg power you need for them when you do them correctly). No, Spidermonkey does not learn – started with 135, but didn’t see it happening after round 3 if I wanted to stay close to 5 min.

    Metcon: 5:11 @125# not RX.
    Dropped the last rep of the last set and some of my reps were definitely shaky. Arms were toast. I even took 20 seconds rest before I started that last set. Happy with this though.

    BS: 185 PR, That’s 10 lbs lighter than my last 1 rep max. Guess I better 1-rep retest soon!

    MetCon: 4:47. Did 105# for 1.5 rounds then my body dumped the bar before I thought about what I was doing. Dropped down to 95 and was so glad I did.
