Probably my worst exercise. Of all the stuff we do at XFit…burpees for time scares me the most!
150 Burpees: 22:09
glad I could do this in the comfort of my own home so everyone couldn’t see me falling apart on this one! My only saving grace was that I was good with the jump. I have a target on the wall that is 1 foot over my reach. i did a good job hitting that for every rep. that was the only good thing about today’s WOD.
H.M. … I hear u, need to sub for this one, shoulder is drivin me nuts. It feels fine, but I’m scared to push it after just one week rest. Did Michael instead: 3 rounds, 800 m run (on treadmill, 1% incline), 50 back extensions (globo doesn’t have GHD machine) 50 sit-ups: 19:28. PR by 4 mins or so.
This was as shitty as I expected it to be. It’s not so much that I hate burpees, I just suck at ramping up the intensity. I think that increasing my Intensity will be my #1 weakness to work on before the Regionals.
I stuck around to watch the 6pm class and saw a lot of great form and effort. Sharon, Paul, Drew, Alli, just to name a few. Also, Alli got 5 kipping pull ups in a row for the first time today!
Big improvement on the prior 22:15 time for this one, mostly due to Sharon the speed demon in front of me and Jimmy and Brian’s great cheering / goading on. Also, making the leader board (even at the bottom of it) kind of made my day! As did finally nailing those damn pull ups.
I think Rich S. paid Brian off to sabotage the 7PM class by playing vegan chick rock during our WOD. I didn’t know whether to order a soy latte or do a burpee.

I feel a little guilty today is my rest day. This will be the first workout on my list of things to do the next time I travel and am not near a gym.

I did a WOD before I was able to get internet setup and saw this one. 150 burpees would have been easier to do in my tiny hotel gym.
