After the finest tutelage from Dan, the most magnificent Crossfit coach on the planet (hey, he practically BEGGED for kudos from the 6 pm class, so I figured I’d try to get his head to explode from his greatness :oP … the 7 pm class DID IT. May we always have a good lumbar curve and DIG DEEP. OK, I know, that was pretty … um … lame.
Anyhoo…
FGB was fun.

Today is a perfect example of why I pay for a membership. Had this WOD come up on the main site, I would have gone to the gym, tried to do somewhere around 45-65 of OHS, failed, and then gone home.
Instead, Brian and the others provided some fantastic cues, and for the first time ever I was able to do OHS.

Siddarth et al,
There is tape in the front plastic shelf thingy. I highly recommend doing a couple wraps right over the wrist joint in Overhead Squats, Push Jerk, Push Press, Shoulder Press, Clean, Clean & Jerk, and Snatch.
Nice job to the 6 pm and 7 pm Foundations class - you guys went full bore on Fight Gone Bad.

Yes, wrist discomfort kind of comes with the territory. It becomes a mild discomfort as you get stronger and your wrists get more flexible. Tape helps too.

Yep, wrists hurt like hell during and after but fine today. Brian speaketh the truth about the wrist tape but get someone to help you tape up for the first couple times. I taped too tight and couldn’t feel my fingers.

OHS. It was good to get some work in on these. Wasn’t sure what I could do since I rarely practice these, so I just kept going til I wore myself out.
