I love CrossFit. Is it a cult? Maybe. Is it addictive? Absolutely. But most importantly, is it effective for anyone? YES! I have been CrossFitting consistently (5-6 days a week) since late 2008. The motivating atmosphere and the results I see are what keep me coming back. I played Div III college lacrosse at a top 10 nationally ranked school and when those days were over I found myself in a fitness rut. I belonged to a gym and found it hard to stay motivated to attend with any real regularity. It felt like a chore rather than something that I enjoyed. I was looking for fitness through cardio and upper body weightlifting and the results were poor at best. My workouts were sporadic and the effects were not visible. Most disappointing was that this routine lacked any sense of competition and camaraderie which is so critical in helping drive motivation. Fast forward to 2008 and let the revolution begin. CrossFit has brought complete enjoyment back into my fitness. I genuinely look forward to getting to the gym because I can see the results in my performance, my health, and my happiness. I have returned to and exceeded my collegiate level of fitness and don’t plan on looking back. As a coach I can provide you with a fun and motivating environment to get you to, and then beyond your current fitness goals. As a Level 1 Certified CrossFit Coach, experienced CrossFit games competitor, and fellow PCF member, I can use my growing experience to not only introduce you to the basic fundamentals of the CrossFit methodology, but also move you well into the elite levels of overall fitness. Bottom line — If you are looking to end the peaks and valleys of your fitness/health routine, if you are competitive, if you enjoy a community, and if you want to spend less time with better outcomes, then PCF and I can help you get there.
